I’d love to hear from you!
I am very much a new fan, so much so that I believe you are a winner! Check it out 🙂 http://pegcitylovely.com/2012/10/i-won-a-liebster-blog-award/
Thank you Natalie! I am checking out your great and all the information about the Liebster award and will post about it next week.
The tragic loss of Geo’s life has devastated many. Every day in Canada at least 4 people are killed by an impaired driver. You should write about the terrific work that Markita Kaulius is doing with her Families For Justice. MADD is terrific for education and awareness, however FFJ is working across Canada to lobby for much stricter laws for impaired drivers convicted of causing a fatality. Currently, minimal house arrest, or a $2000. fine, or a few months in jail is not an appripriate sentence, and Judges should add value to the lives of those lost! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Families-For-Justice/164459386985766.
Thank you for the reference to Family for Justice. I have added the link to the reference section at the bottom of the post. (4 people a day – so very sad).
Thank you laughing Mom for printing the link to Families For Justice! If you ever want to know how terrible the justice system is in sentencing those who kill while impaired let me know. Sentenced from a $2000. fine, weekend house arrest, minimal fines etc. just don’t seem to be enough! How does one explain to 5 siblings between the ages of 2 to 12 were orphaned in Alberta….that the courts didn’t value their parents enough to give the driver due justice. Case, after case…..the stories are heartbreaking. So far we have about 35, 000 signatures on a petition to the Canadian Government, which have been introduced in the House of Parliament. MADD does great work! Families for Justice does too!
